A family-owned construction and investment group

At VT-Invest Construction Group, we work together towards one shared goal: contributing to a future-oriented construction sector. We do so by looking ahead, by sharing knowledge and experience, and by investing in sustainable partnerships.

Investing with a purpose

The holding company acquires shareholdings, carries out management assignments, provides financial support and provides consultancy on all aspects of business management. For this purpose the holding company relies on several specialists who provide optimal support and guidance to the management of its subsidiaries. The holding company is managed by Rita, Dirk and Lorenzo Van Tornhaut.

The group employs more than 480 people and generates an annual consolidated turnover of approximately €200 million.

Years of experience and expertise

1983

Brothers Roger, Frans, and Maurice Van Tornhaut establish the company Algemene Ondernemingen Van Tornhaut BVBA.

1989

Dirk and Rita Van Tornhaut joined the family business. Five years later, in 1994, they bought out the shares from their parents and uncles.

2006

Establishment of VT-Invest Construction Group as a holding company.

V-SYSTEMS
2007

Acquisition of V-Systems (Nevele) and Stabil (Meulebeke).

Acquisition of COBATIM (prefabricated concrete production) from Comines and acquisition of shares in Monseré, Movatrans, and Movarec.

2014

Establishment of the foreign subsidiary FYX Stability Solutions.

2015

Acquisition of industrial construction company Van De Walle, based in Aalter.

Acquisition of Gustaaf Cuylaerts Industriebouw, establishment of VOLUS for project development.

2019

VCS Steel is established in Olsene. VT-Invest Construction Group acquires a stake in SRW-Groep.

2020

Acquisition of SPANBO Industriebouw, based in Moorslede.

2022

Acquisition of Condeco, based in Diksmuide.

2025

Acquisition of KORLAM, established in Moorslede, and Batsleer Gevelrenovatie, established in Aalter.

Sustainability

Sustainability has a structural place within the way we operate. VT-Invest Construction Group is committed to using the CO2 Performance Ladder. This sustainability tool helps companies and public authorities reduce their ecological impact and achieve their goals in the areas of energy efficiency, the circularity of materials and environmental management aimed at preventing environmental damage.

We are committed to strengthening a culture in which safety, health and wellbeing are self-evident principles in all corporate activities. The group aims to continuously promote risk awareness and care for one another, so that personal injury and material damage can be prevented as much as possible. To this end we bring together our health and safety officers across the group and invest in safety training and tools.
